100 Things That Made My Year In 2017

The closest thing we have to time travel is our memories. I wrote this list to relive some of the memories that brought me joy or impacted me in a positive way this past year.

I also wrote this list to document things I tend to forget. For example, I sometimes inadvertently drop certain habits that serve me well. Or, when I'm having a bad day, I have a tendency to forget recent events or experiences that once made me happy. This list will serve as a reminder for both.

Finally, I wrote this list to share more of my life with you. Personal development is much more than life advice or pithy wisdom. It’s about applying those concepts within the context of your life. Sometimes it’s just helpful to know there's someone out there you can relate to...

Happy Birthday ThinkGrowProsper! (4 Years)

This month marks the four-year anniversary of ThinkGrowProsper! I can't help but feel a little nostalgic as I look back on the milestones and events that led me here.

It's been an incredible privilege to do this kind of work for the past 4 years and I am so grateful for all of your support -- it means the world to me. I appreciate every email, every comment, every message and every repost expressing your support for TGP. I read them all, even if I can't always respond. Thank you for being here and spreading the love.

In celebration of our 4th birthday (and as I anticipate all to come in 2018), I thought I'd share a few highlights from the past four years with you...

Take The First Step

Exciting news! I'm partnering with @Kswiss to share my personal entrepreneur story for their new #GenerationK campaign. I'm honored to be part of a movement that supports the next generation of creators & entrepreneurs like myself. Hopefully my story inspires anyone who is scared to take the first step.

In 2013, after a series of personal and professional failures, I was emotionally and financially broke. The only thing I could bring myself to do was read. I sought out personal development books for inspiration and motivation.

Then one day, I got an idea to document the parts of these books that inspired me. Using Instagram, I made a vision board of quotes that resonated with me. I took the first step. A very small one, but a step nonetheless.
